Participant Application Form

NCIG TVWriters’ Lab 6x6

All applicants must submit this application to be considered for participation in the program.
All sections with * in the application form are mandatory.

Before you begin, please note the following:

  • You must be based in GGC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries
  • You must be 18+ years of age at the time you submit this application
  • To participate in the program, you must have a good speaking and writing command of English and Arabic, since English is the language of instruction in the intensive Toolbox Sessions provided in week 1 of the program and some virtual master classes may also be taught in English
  • Your Project must be authentic and original
  • The Program is designed for writers with an Arabic-language TV series in early stages of conceptualization or development
  • To participate in the lab, selected projects should not be committed to a producer or a director and must have complete autonomy over the submitted project
  • Past writing experience is required. A participant must bring adequate TV/Film screenwriting experience , i.e. previously credited as a writer/co-writer in one or two GCC-led projects
  • Projects by more than one creator/writer will be considered
  • Applicants may choose to fill out this application form in Arabic or English. However, projects uploaded in sections 6&7 will be accepted in ARABIC ONLY
  • Applicants may submit up to two projects, with a separate application form for each project
  • An applicant’s full name, project title, email, and contact number are to be included in all submitted documents

Include samples of all past writing, production, and/or creative work experience (TV shows, films, theatrical productions, photography, writing samples, online portfolio, showreel, website, etc.), explaining your role in the project

5. Personal Statement * (no more than 2,000 words and file size of max 2MB)

Describe why you want to participate in LAB 6/6 and explain how your background will add a unique perspective to the program.

6. Short Synopsis of the Project in Conceptualization or Development * (maximum one page and file size of max 2MB)

Include Genre, main characters, tone, references, and story world description.

7. Treatment or Short Script or Scenes from the Project* (max file size is 2MB)

8. Personal Declaration and Submission Letter *

By applying to participate in the NCIG TV Writers' Lab 6x6 Incubation Program, and in order for my application to be considered for the Program, I understand that I am bound to the Terms and Conditions in the Submission Letter (click HERE to FILL OUT and SIGN ) and acknowledge and declare that I meet all the requirements, and am aware of my rights, and obligations, clarified therein .
